Superfat was created with the desire to represent an important idea we had in mind. It is the closest thing to a superhero, but very real and very fat…. Faced with limitations of materials and resources, we decided to launch ourselves at the challenge: to represent a 2-dimensional design as 3-dimensional in a completely hand-crafted way. The result was a limited edition of the creature we developed expressly as a gift for all of those who need a daily upper at work; a model to follow and an example of personal transcendence, reminding us that we are all “super” and (insert an adjective here: ________________).
Our co-workers during the project were Julie de Almeida (illustrator) and orchestra man Paolo Graziolino (modeler-sculptor).
